Make The Card Challenge #3

I want to share with you a card that I made for the “Make The Card Challenge“. This is a website ran by my good card maker friend, Jill Lipscomb. She asked me to be a guest designer for her new card maker challenge blog. This particular challenge was to create a congratulations card.

This post contains some affiliate links for your convenience (which means if you make a purchase after clicking a link I will earn a small commission but it won’t cost you a penny more)! I only recommend products I truly love. Click here to read my full disclosure policy.

Card instructions

I'm in love with the Maker Forte's art deco style stencils, decided to whip up the very simple but elegant card using one these stencils to create this slim line card.

I used distressed inks to create this ombre look over the stencil pattern. I love how bright the colors are and how they coordinate with Maker Forte's Coronation Purple card stock.

For the sentiment, I created this on my Silhouette Cameo 3 and Studio Design app. I'll share below how you can get this SVG to cut on your own cutting machine, for free!

I cut the sentiment out 3 times and glued them together to give it some dimension. In Studio Design, I created an halo for the word by offsetting the svg. I then cut that halo out with vellum paper.

After cutting the the card front down to fit the card base, I matted it on the purple card stock. Then glued the sentiment with the vellum halo onto the card.

And to finish it off, I choose some beautiful purple rhinestones from Pretty Pink Posh that just go just perfectly with these colors.
