How to Store Embossing Powder

Storage solutions for embossing powder

Don't you love using embossing powder for your card projects?  I have been struggling with how to store embossing powder.  I have tried the cheap disposal plastic storage options.  But found it was not the best solution for me.  The cheaper plastic containers seemed to have a bit of a rough edge so a lot of the powder tended to get stuck on the inside of the container… thus I wasted a lot of product.  I also put a spoon in the container but i hated fishing for it as it sank into the powder.

How I discovered this way of storing

I came across a youtube video of this crafter sharing her craft storage tricks and she used the Sistema Klip It Collection Rectangled Food Storage Containers.  I love how they are compact and have a smooth surface inside so the embossing powder doesn't stick, therefore saving me money in product. Then she uses Command Round Cord Clips on the lid to clip a Mini Plastic Tasting Spoons. Genius!

Check out the video I made showing it in action!

Here is the supply list that I used in this video:

  • Storage containers
  • Spoons
  • Cord Clips
  • Label Maker
