You can do this technique with a stamp block and stamp, but I highly recommend that you use a stamp positioner tool, like the Misti, and a piece of grid paper to create this background. This allows your paper to remain in place and you can re-stamp if you did not get a clear image the first time. Stamping a repeating background by hand is not impossible but difficult to do well.

You will need to keep the paper down on the grid paper. I use 2 mini glue dots to do this. 2 glue dots prevents the paper from rotating around.

Place your paper down diagonally to the grid paper.

I like to take the background paper and place it down on the stamp positioner platform on a diagonal to the grid paper. Make sure you have the paper secured to the grid paper with a piece of tape or a magnet. I used 2 mini glue dots.

Then I lined up the stripe stamp along the far end of the card, lining it up to the grid paper. Stamp the image on to your background piece of paper.

Then clean the stamp and move it over 2 squares on the grid paper. Repeat this process until you have the entire background complete.

Once you are completed, then you will have a beautiful straight repeating pattern for a background!

Not shown in the video, but I also used copic markers to color in the Poinsetta. For the flower I used colors, RV29, R27, R32, Y26, Y15. And for the leaves I used G19, G05, YG13.

Then used some rectangle stitched dies to die cut the background and the mat. Stamped the Peace on Earth sentiment and put some double side foam adhesives under it to give it some dimension. And lastly blinged it up with some Glossy Black Jewels from Pretty Pink Posh.
